Licensing and regulatory transparency
Capital Asverix approaches Canadian onboarding, identity verification, complaint handling and information security through documented compliance processes.
Regulation does not eliminate market risk or guarantee returns. Confirm the legal status and registration of any executing or custody provider before transferring funds.

Canadian regulatory context
Canadian financial services can involve federal anti-money-laundering requirements, provincial securities regulators and self-regulatory standards. The applicable framework depends on the specific service, asset and legal entity performing the activity.
| Jurisdiction | Regulator | Registration / regulatory basis |
|---|---|---|
| Canada | Applicable provincial authorities; CIRO and OBSI where relevant | Complies with applicable Canadian requirements for client onboarding, identity verification and complaint handling. Registration details for any executing provider are confirmed with that provider before service. |
| Canada, financial crime controls | FINTRAC | Complies with applicable client identification, recordkeeping and suspicious transaction reporting requirements where the service and legal entity fall within scope. |
| Canadian investment dealer context | CIRO | Complies with applicable dealer requirements through the regulated provider responsible for investment activity. Provider registration must be confirmed directly. |
Compliance controls
Client onboarding includes identity checks proportionate to the account and activity. Transactions may be monitored for unusual patterns, and additional information may be requested when required by law or risk controls.
Complaint records are handled by the Client Support and Compliance department. If an eligible investment complaint remains unresolved, independent escalation through OBSI may be available according to its mandate and deadlines.
Asset protection requires careful distinctions
Cash deposits with a member institution may be eligible for CDIC coverage, subject to its rules. Eligible securities held by a member investment dealer may be covered by CIPF, subject to its limits. Crypto and other digital assets are generally not covered by CDIC or CIPF.
Coverage depends on the institution, account, asset and circumstances. A platform reference to CDIC or CIPF must never be read as confirmation that every balance or product is protected.
Verification before funding
Ask which legal entity will receive funds, where assets will be held, which regulator oversees that entity and what complaint route applies. Review the provider's public registration record independently. Do not rely on screenshots, social media messages or an unsolicited caller's assurance.
